Washington: Apple’s iOS gaming platform Game Centre accounts are likely to surpass 200 million milestone till the end of this year, analysts said.
With a great impact on gaming industry, Apple’s iOS driven handsets and notebooks have already given a tough time to gaming consoles manufacturer including Sony and Nintendo.
“At present there are currently more than 130 million Game Center accounts, which means iOS devices are already more popular than home consoles like the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360, and the Nintendo Wii,” reports Cult of Mac.
OpenFeint, a third-party gaming platform on iOS, claims 180 million people already gaming on iOS devices.
Though there are chances that these figures have not counted multiple accounts by a single user, but still it is a big number of accounts of iOS platform.
